I see that some events are featured or advertised on the home page and weekly newsletter?  How can I have my event promoted in this way?

We are always interested in exploring event partnership opportunities with a select number of events per year.  Email us to find out how a partnership with Business Fights Poverty can help raise the profile and reach of your event!  As an event partner, we can promote the event in advance.  This can include profiling a blog by you as a Top Story on the home page and in the newsletter (this must be an opinion article about the themes of the event rather than an straight event ad) and through our social media channels, including Twitter (@FightPoverty).  During the event we can host any planned livestream and participate in live-Tweeting.  After the event we can profile a blog by you with any output reports, video, audio and photos.  There is no cost, but in return we ask to be listed as a partner at the event and in your communications.

What happens if someone is sending me spam or inappropriate messages?

We take this matter very seriously.  As set out in our values, we do not permit spam. We consider messages as spam where they are both (a) unsolicited (the recipient has not granted permission for the message to be sent) and (b) sent out in bulk (the message is sent as part of a larger collection of messages, all having substantively the same content). We also do not permit advertising by members, and we do not accept membership from those who, in our view, are joining to promote non-relevant services, such as "get-rich-quick" schemes or "payday loans". We also do not permit religious preaching. If you have any concerns about the conduct of another Member, please contact us.  We may remove material posted on the site that we feel is not related to the subject of the site. We also reserve the right to exclude members who, in our view, have not followed the networks values set out here.
