Amit Mahajan ji, namaskar!

I am form Andhra Pradesh, India. I am working with the Chenchus, the Indigenous People of the Nallamala Forest of the Krishna River Valley. Chenchus were identified as Indigenous People by UN and the Government of India identified as Primitive Tribal Groups.

Chenchus are the people of Krutayuga, named after Chenchita daughter of Hiranya Kasyapa. No puranic evidence says that Lordess Chenchita and Lord Narasimha beget children. These people’s roots were rooted in Lord Mallana also be called as Siva / Sankara / Hara and some other names.

Chenchus are in food gathering and pastoral stage.

Chenchu’s population is dwindling because of inseparable nature with the Nature, which is not able to support the Chenchus with enough food, because it is also ailing, becoming thin.

Along with some Chenchu women, we are promoting a Social Enterprise to trade some forest products like wild collected food like honey, beans, herbs and some handicrafts. I invite your support. Please help us.

Best regards,

John Nagella

Hello Amit
thank you for your friendship and your enquiry.
We certainly do have women in our community from Kenya, with a wealth of experience and knowledge of women's issues in Kenya.
I will write more to you in another few weeks - I'm actually getting married in two weeks time so am a bit preoccupied at the moment(!) but wanted to pop by and thank you for your enquiry.
I'd be very interested indeed to know more about your own valuable work whenever you have time to write,
With warmest wishes
Chris
