- About my work:
- I am a Cooperative and Community based Economic Development specialist, with Bsc degree in Agriculture and a lot of special on job trainings focusing on Community based leadership & Economic Development and Poverty alleviation systems and strategies from different development institutions and Colleges in Ethiopia and abroad, and I have been working with such career for over 14 years. I had served at District, regional, national and international context. Out of which I had served as project manager, Agricultural extension team leader, Cooperatives Development Project Coordinator and Consultant such as savings-led micro-finance activities, predominately with Coordination, promotion, training and mentoring of savings and credit cooperatives (SACCOs) in both Ethiopia and Uganda.
I have trained 215 SACCO senior Cooperative promoters, Ethiopia wide, as a senior trainer of ACDI/VOCA Ethiopia and the Federal Cooperative agency, resulting in the establishment of 539 SACCOs or Credit unions in all over Ethiopia.
Currently, I am doing my Masters degree in Cooperative Marketing at Mekelle University, Ethiopia. I have accomplished the course work with very good cumulative GPA (3.86) and I have started my thesis research work (only 6 credit hours) expected to finish within the coming six month; to be graduate on July 2010
