- About my work:
- I am the brainchild behind Ndanifor Permaculture Eco Village NPE in Yaounde, Cameroon.
Through NPE I provide Sustainable Development Education services for young people to learn to build their successes and abilities first of all from indigenous knowledge, traditional African values & ethics and combining these with science.
NPE has used a market approach to carve out a niche for learning exchange and partnerships in West and Central African Region.
The Cameroon government has failed to bring development policies that fight poverty, up to speed with the new realities of the youth to reap the benefits of the information age. Inspired by the MDGs for Africa, my idea is simply the setting up of digital green e-classrooms, sustainable sanitation and school gardens and linking them up to provide basic social enterprise services and advancing the effective use of appropriate technology in learning and mitigating climate change. NPE has quickly become part of a growing network for helping young people join the sustainability effort.
