I'm new to the network and your profile struck a chord for 2 points for me:
1. I am also a social entrepreneur, and
2. My last venture was actually dealing with malaria. I along with some partners developed a mosquito repellent candle made from pyrethrum, which I know Johnson uses in their products. Our main customers were in Nairobi slums.

Its only a pity that there are such few insecticide products on the local market with py-oil. Anyway my new venture is based on providing information to the youth to create their businesses.

Do you find that the people engaged in this approach are focused on direct engagement for the long term (6-20 years) or is this an approach more geared to aid in short term relationships (less than 5 years) or for surrogate researchers in preparation for a field team?

It seems similar to the PRA (Participatory Rural Analysis) approach of previous decades. Is it different?
