About Us

The Oxford Forum for International Development (OxFID) is the UK's highest profile student-led conference, bringing together practitioners, academics and professionals from across the world to discuss international development issues.

OxFID attracts over 400 participants from the UK and beyond, bringing together the decision makers of today with the decision makers of tomorrow.

This year, for OxFID’s 5th Anniversary, the conference will address:

Development: Where Next? Finding New Paths and Shaping New Visions

Engaging with the development issues of the 21st century: from Internet civil society and public advocacy, to the role of new technologies in conflict and agriculture, as well as pushing traditional issues like human rights and food security into the modern era.
A full weekend of keynotes, panels and workshops discussing and evaluating the new directions, challenges and solutions which are currently emerging in the field.

OxFID 2012 will be the 24th, 25th and 26th of February at the Said Business School.
